THE FEST is an independent multiple-day, multiple-venue underground music festival held annually in Gainesville, FL with support from the fine folks from VISIT GAINESVILLE, ALACHUA COUNTY. Established in 2002 with only 60 bands, four stages, and two days, THE FEST has experienced a massive growth rate and now is three days long, 15+ venues and over 350 bands, comedians and professional wrestlers.

Fest 8 brought more than 200 bands to 8 venues over 3 days in Gainesville, continuing the event’s reputation as one of the country’s defining independent punk festivals. The top of the poster features 7 Seconds, Less Than Jake, Youth Brigade, Strike Anywhere, Dillinger Four, Samiam, Dead to Me, and Coalesce, followed by a deep roster of additional bands including A Wilhelm Scream, Bomb the Music Industry!, Coliseum, The Copyrights, Dave Dondero, Bridge and Tunnel, The Measure [SA], Ninja Gun, Off With Their Heads, The Arrivals, Tim Barry, and many more. The ad copy and design emphasize sheer scale, stacked lineups, and the chaotic, irreverent spirit that made The Fest a Gainesville institution.
